I've been unnerved by this guy since 1999 when he came out of nowhere with $200 million in campaign contributions six months before the first primary, eliminating all contenders before there were any. Not that Elizabeth Dole would have solved all our problems, but she likely wouldn't have created as many as the two-headed monster bushcheney. I've lived in fear of this tyrannical regime since it stole the office seven years ago and have been made more uneasy almost on a daily basis by their actions. The recent "resignation" of Admiral Fallon appears to be the necessary next step toward their inevitable plan to attack Iran; the act that may ignite WWIII, or at the least, give them just cause, in their estimation, to invoke the Emergency Executive Order we all fear more than anything. Well, at least for those of us who think it's the height of our fears, which naturally excludes the mindless republican faithful lemmings who fear terrorists and Democrats at every turn. In '99 I told my then teenage boys, "get ready to move to Canada if this psychopath is elected; we're undoubtedly headed for war under his administration." My only miscalculation was the draft was never instituted, YET at least. I wanted to get the hell out of Dodge before my kids could get thrown into the military meatgridner the PNAC wackos were cranking up. Now I feel my chance to escape this shell (and bp, exxon, etc.) of a country has passed me by - we're all trapped like rats, as people used to say when we were a democracy. The economy will crash and burn, the aristocrats will be untouched by the disaster and rule us with an iron fist and any type of domestic uprising will be dealt with harshly and swiftly, like Stalin did. This nutcase crew won't think twice about nuking their own people - hell, Bush's "heroes" the military pawns, are eating depleted uranium as we speak. And Faux News will glorify his heroic measures to preserve the union. There's no way out of this mess and we're responsible on grounds of apathy, complacency, ignorance and generally not paying attention. Eisenhower warned us in 1961 and we chose to be distracted and dumbed down by everything from Nintendo games to redstate-bluestate beauty contests in place of elections of meaning, revolving around substantive things like issues that affect our lives and the world around us. People treat the presidential election like it's a goddamned american idol show. Well, you can cast your frickin' vote on your touch-tone keypad and the results will be dutifully tabulated by Diebold - six months before election day. Just like it was in 2000 and 2004
